The Winter Park-Maitland Observer is an award-winning weekly community newspaper covering the highly affluent Central Florida markets of Winter Park and Maitland. The Observer began publishing in Winter Park in 1988. In 1990 the Observer added the city of Maitland to its coverage area.

Notable writers whose work has appeared in WPMO include the late Sloan Wilson (the Man in the Gray Flannel Suit) , and Louis Roney.

As the Observer enters its 20th year, it is best known today for its independent reporting and commentary on issues of the arts, local schools, youth sports, business, law enforcement, features and community profiles as well as the impact of local government on the community.
